Limited edition, hand-pulled, hand-carved linocut print
I stumbled upon this suit fabric on a costume rail backstage at a theatre where I was doing some work and I fell in love with the graphic. It felt very fortuitous as a lot of my work at the time had been concerned with emulating the textures and forms created with fabric and woven materials. I really enjoyed capturing the undulation of the cloth just by carving marks into the lino. Initially I only planned on printing the single colour navy/white version but then I began experimenting with printing other colours underneath. Here I used an orange and magenta ombre to further exaggerate the folds of the fabric

Printed in Cranfield inks on Zerkall paper in my studio, South London

Editions are numbered, dated and signed.
